History of TAAIA
We are established by Taiwan Fertilizer Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Alkali Co., on Nov 18th 1947.
In the begining, we were named 【Taipei Acid Alkali Association】, then we changed to 【Taiwan Acid Alkali Association】 until 1951 to prevent to misunderstand with city level associations. Our area includes Taiwan, Taipei and Kaohsiung. We are now 28 memeber companies within 20 first level members, 3 second level members and 5 third level members around Taiwan.
Currently, the Association has 28 member companies that produce and sell a wide range of products, including acids, bases, and their derivatives. With the rapid development of Taiwan's electronics and information technology industry in recent years, domestic demand for ultra-pure acid and base electronic chemicals used as cleaning agents has increased significantly. With the overseas expansion of semiconductor wafer fabrication plants in Germany, the United States, and Japan, and the construction, assembly, expansion, and establishment of server and data center hardware for the domestic AI application industry, domestic and international demand for acid and base products has been strong. In addition to domestic companies seeking overseas partners for joint production both domestically and internationally, some foreign companies have also set up factories in Taiwan to supply the Taiwanese market.
